Northside People (East) is North East Dublin’s largest circulated newspaper 45,000 weekly.
The Northside People (East) is the largest published local newspaper in Dublin, with 45,000 papers distributed weekly serving the city. The first edition of Northside People hit the streets in May 1987 and quickly established itself as a major player in the local newspaper market. Due to its success with readers and advertisers alike, a second edition of the paper, Northside People (west), was launched in 1995.
This allowed us to expand our readership further inland to cover emerging new areas in Dublin west, from Blanchardstown and beyond. The original Northside People then became known as our east edition and continued to serve its traditional communities such as Malahide, Howth, Swords, Santry, Baldoyle, Sutton, Donaghmede, Coolock, Artane, Whitehall, Kilbarrack, Raheny, Clontarf and Fairview.
By the mid 1990s we were publishing both editions on a weekly basis instead of every fortnight, such was the demand from our regular advertisers. Around this time we also acquired the South News title, which we converted to Southside People. This allowed us to replicate our winning formula on the Southside of the city.
Today, unrivalled local news and sports coverage, combined with quality layout and an extensive distribution network across the city, all help to make us Dublin’s number one local newspaper group. With an editorial emphasis on covering the main issues affecting local communities, each publication contains a topical mix of news, features, sport and opinion. Recent new additions to the papers include weekend television listings, fashion, travel and extra entertainment.
Our newspapers are widely regarded as the main forums for local debate and discussion. And if you’re thinking of advertising and want to get your message across effectively and cost efficiently, we offer you the perfect medium through the Dublin People Group of Newspapers. With a weekly circulation of 158,000 and a choice of three publications, it makes sense to advertise in our titles so you can get your message across to your target audience.
Our publications are distributed throughout Dublin’s suburbs to homes, pick-up points and businesses. Total weekly distribution is as follows: Northside People (east) 45,000; Northside People (west) 35,000; Southside People 45,000
