About SM Media Sales
SM Media Sales or mediasales.ie is an independent sales representation company. Its focus is to bring strong regional titles from both North and South of the border to the attention of advertising agencies in the Dublin area under one umbrella.
This has been warmly welcomed both from the papers involved and the agencies alike as it lessens the amount of time consuming and disturbing calls that are made and received to and from papers each and every day.
Sean Maguire, who started the company, began his career with the Northside and Southside People over 14 years ago.
He set up SM Media Sales having seen at first hand the advantages that having one central person in a company to speak to from a media buyer point of view could bring. Simple things, for example, pricing, copy, sizes, availability, in general any question that needed answering.
Sean saw a need for a one to one service and the advantages that it could bring. Instead of being passed from department to department to simply get the smallest of request answered. Having one central person to call saved time for media buyers and made life so much easier rather than having every sales person in a paper calling and occupying valuable time. It in turn allowed planning be carried out far quicker and without fuss and would help an agency to develop a link with the papers and the aim of simplifying planning and buying needs and it also helps with understanding the advantages and strengths of the titles represented.
SM Mediasales have expanded very quickly in a short time and currently represents 24 Newspapers and 15 Magazines with a very well mixed raviety of both national and regional titles and is planning to include further regional titles in the very near future!
